Understanding the Green List and Red List
Green List - Approved AI Tools
These tools have been vetted and approved for use in our organization:
- Company-approved chatbots - For internal queries and documentation
- Authorized code assistants - For development with proper security measures
- Approved analytics platforms - With data protection compliance
- Vetted productivity tools - Meeting company security standards
Red List - Prohibited AI Tools
These tools are NOT approved for use with company data:
- Unvetted public AI services - May not meet security requirements
- Free-tier AI tools - Often use your data for training
- AI tools without data processing agreements
- Any tool not on the approved list
Warning: Using unapproved AI tools with company data may result in disciplinary action and could expose the company to legal liability.
How to Request Tool Approval
- Submit a tool evaluation request to IT Security
- Provide the tool's privacy policy and data handling practices
- Wait for security review and approval
- Complete any required training for the new tool
